Junior Band
The Junior Band is conducted by bob Newnham, who is ably assisted by several members of the Senior Band. The Junior Band was reformed about seven years ago and has grown in stature and ability since then. The number of members has varied from four to thirteen players, all of varying ability (including raw beginners). Recently they were invited to take part in a Competition for non-contesting bands in Rastrick, where they achieved tenth place out of sixteen, which is very good when you consider that they were the smallest band there, only having thirteen players compared to the others with thirty plus players. Each year, along with the senior band , the Junior Band takes part in local music festivals, and they always send the adjudicator away very impressed with their performance.
