Senior Band

Our current Musical Director is Bob Newnham, who is a great asset to the band, he's also not a bad drummer. The Senior Band has grown in size considerably over the last five to six years.
At one point the band consisted of five players, which did not stop us carrying on with our engagements. At one point a merger with another local band was considered, but it was generally felt that we would lose our identity if we did so. So we continued on, managing to keep our head above water financially. As a result we have continued to expand and grow, and we now have a current membership of thirty players.
Some of our more prominent jobs in the last couple of years have included playing at the International Festival of the Sea in Portsmouth (which we will be doing again in 2001), charity concerts in Tenby on behalf of Cancer Research and several concerts for our Lord Mayor, assisting him with his charity work.
One of our recurring jobs, is Littlehampton Bonfire Parade, which we have been leading since 1952, and is (thankfully!!) our only marching job.
